Adelson-owned Las Vegas Review-Journal endorses Marco Rubio

February 5, 2016

The Las Vegas Review-Journal – recently purchased by businessman Sheldon Adelson – endorsed Marco Rubio on Friday.

The paper said their decision does not represent the Adelson family:

The RJ met with Sen. Rubio on Oct. 9, two months before the announcement of the newspaper's sale to the family of Las Vegas Sands Chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson. The Adelsons have detached themselves from our endorsement process, and our endorsement of Sen. Rubio does not represent the support of the family.

The Review-Journal's backing comes just weeks before the Republican caucus on Feb. 23. (To read the full endorsement, click here)

Adelson has not endorsed a candidate for the upcoming election.
