In world without Hal Douglas, his voice will live on forever

Legendary voice-over artist Hal Douglas has died, his family said Thursday. Douglas, who was 89, died March 7 at his home in northern Virginia with his wife Ruth and daughter Sarah at his side, the family said in a written statement. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2010.

The son of two Jewish immigrants from Euope, Douglas (whose original name was Cohen) had one of the most identifiable voices in cinema and television voice-over history.
