Two weeks before the Sept. 27 premieres of both Netflix’s “The Politician” and the “Transparent: Musicale Finale” on Amazon Prime, Judith Light was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame Sept. 12 with a ceremony that unveiled her star near Hollywood and Vine.

Surrounded by friends, colleagues and family, Light gave thanks to her parents and those who supported her along the way. “If you were not in my life, I would not be standing here,” she said. “… You remind of the thrill of the work we do, the privilege we have to tell stories and share them with others. You remind me that our business is an act of service. This star is the representation of our connectedness, our support for each other and our joy in each other…you remind me of who we all really and truly are. We are each other’s star.”

Light’s co-stars America Ferrera (“Ugly Betty”), Dan Lauria (Broadway’s “Lombardi”) and “Transparent” creator Jill Soloway were among those attending the event.
