Photo provided by Netflix Wedding bells will ring in the second season of the Netflix comedy “Friends From College,” which follows a sextet of Harvard alumni living in New York, some of whom have become estranged since news of an extra-marital affair fractured the groups relationship dynamic at the end of season one. The impending nuptials of literary agent Max (Fred Savage) and his partner Felix (Billy Eichner) force the others to come together for the events leading up to the wedding, including engagement and bachelor parties.
The plot picks up a year after Ethan’s (Keegan-Michael Key) longtime affair with Sam (Annie Parisse) was exposed. Sam is trying to repair her marriage to Jon (Greg Germann), while Ethan’s wife Lisa (Cobie Smulders) is dating someone new. Nick (Nat Faxon) and Marianne (Jae Suh Park) are still together, as far as we know.
Former child actor Savage (“The Wonder Years”) now hosts the game show “Child Support” on ABC. Eichner, known for “Billy on the Street,” “American Horror Story,” and “Difficult People,” will voice Timon in “The Lion King,” due out in July.
The eight-episode “College” season begins streaming on Netflix Jan. 11.
