Women’s hunger: a conversation

Hunger is a specter in the lives of far too many Americans — especially women, who are 35 percent more likely to live in poverty than men. MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger and the National Council of Jewish Women Los Angeles (NCJW|LA) invite you to join an evening of art and advocacy, exploring women’s experiences of hunger and what we all can do to help alleviate the crisis. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the interactive exhibit “This Is Hunger,” which shares various stories of hunger. The program will feature Abby Leibman, president and CEO of MAZON, and Helen Davidov, board president of NCJW|LA. Co-sponsored by Feminist Majority Foundation. 6 p.m. Free. NCJW|LA, 543 N. Fairfax Ave., Los Angeles. (310) 442-0020.
