I just finished David Spade’s book Almost Interesting and was pleasantly surprised — he tells of his struggle to escape an unfortunate childhood and starting out in comedy, including the ups and downs of fame.  He tells about his insecurities while writing comedy, getting attacked by his assistant and other pitfalls of making it.  A most enjoyable read!
