A Moment in Time: A Time to go with the Tide, and a Time to Swim Upstream

[additional-authors]

Dear all,

Sometimes we need to be in the moment, to stop and reflect,
to go with the tide.

Sometimes we need to create moments, to raise our voices,
to swim upstream.

How do we know when to be still?  And how do we know when it's time to
move again?
How do we know when to go against the tide? And how do we know when
it's time to stop an uphill struggle?

We don't always know.  And that's what makes life so difficult.  We'll make mistakes along the way.  And we'll succeed along the way.  We'll have joys
and we'll have regrets.  We'll drift and we'll rebel.  It's all part of life.

Our hope is that along the way, we'll have moments in time to realize that with every difficult decision, our spirit has opportunity to grow.

With love and Shalom,

Rabbi Zach Shapiro
