Biden Says He Visited Tree of Life Synagogue After Shooting, Synagogue Says He Didn’t
The New York Post reported that Biden said during a September 2 virtual call with Jewish leaders, “I remember spending time at the, you know, going to the, you know, the Tree of Life synagogue, speaking with them.” But Barb Feige, the synagogue’s executive director, told the Post “no” when asked if Biden ever visited the synagogue since the shooting occurred.

ADL Webinar With Law Enforcement Discusses State of Hate Crimes

Nearly 75% of College Students, Recent Grads View Antisemitism on Campus As “a Very Serious Problem,” Survey Says
Alums for Campus Fairness published the survey on August 30 after interviewing 312 students and 194 alumni from March 25-June 14. The survey found that 94% of respondents viewed campus antisemitism as a problem today and in recent years and 74% of those viewed it as “a very serious problem.”
UNC Sticks With Anti-Israel Course Amidst Allegations It Violated Education Dept. Agreement
On August 20, the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) National President Morton Klein and Center for Law and Justice Director Susan Tuchman sent a letter to UNC arguing that according to the agreement the university had signed in 2019, UNC is required to “take all steps reasonably designed to ensure that students enrolled in the University are not subjected to a hostile environment and to respond to allegations of anti-Semitic harassment.”
Ben & Jerry’s Board Head Accused of Funneling Company’s Foundation Money to Her Think-Tank
The New York Post reported on August 28 that the National Legal and Policy Center watchdog filed a complaint with the IRS against Anuradha Mittal, pointing to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filings showing that The Ben & Jerry’s Foundation gave $104,000 to the Oakland Institute, a progressive think tank, in 2017 and 2018.
FBI Report: Nearly 60% of Religious Hate Crimes in 2020 Targeted Jews
According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the report found that the number of antisemitic hate crimes decreased from 953 in 2019 to 676 in 2020; the 676 figure consisted of 58% of all hate crimes targeting religion.
