ALIYAH 2010 – She’s In the Army Now


I recently interviewed Shalhevet High School alum Galya Nisenbaum and her parents in their LA home as part of my upcoming feature on the 58 college-aged Angelenos making aliyah (immigration to Israel) straight into the IDF.

Galya and her fellow comrades have made headlines in ” title=”(translated into English in the comments section)” target=”_blank”>(translated into English in the comments section), Galya proudly represents the Los Angeles Jewish community as she talks about why she traded UC Berkeley to become an officer specializing in treating trauma among wounded IDF soldiers.
