The Secure Community Network, an initiative funded by Jewish Federations of North America, has launched an online portal to train staff at Jewish institutions on security issues.

The online SCN Homeland Security & Preparedness Training Center was launched officially on Wednesday. It features educational videos and other interactive content intended to help Jewish federations and other institutions prepare to meet security challenges.

“Training frontline staff and personnel is the single most important investment we can make for the safety and security of our communities and facilities,” said Paul Goldenberg, SCN’s national director, in a statement. “Recognizing that many of our organizations face financial and logistical challenges providing conventional security training for staff and employees, SCN has developed an online training space so our member organizations have instant access to a library of training opportunities delivered in an innovative and cost effective manner.”
