The Chicago Tribue has reported that Harold Ramis died at 12:53 a.m. on Thursday.
The cause of death was “complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels,” the Tribune said.
He was 69-years-old.
Ramis' wife, Erica Mann Ramis, provided the cause and time of the comedy filmmaker's death, the newspaper reports.
