YEMIN ORDE YOUTH CHOIR
Come see this group of 11 at-risk immigrant teens originally from Ethiopia, France, the former Soviet Union, Brazil and Israel who now live at Yemin Orde Youth Village in northern Israel. The group, which is joined by one graduate of the village, reflects the diversity of more than 400 at-risk youth who live and learn there. The choir’s repertoire includes contemporary and traditional Israeli songs as well as original songs written by the children at Yemin Orde. “THE HEBREW HILLBILLY: FIFTY SHADES OF OY VEY”
Shelley Fisher does her bluesy, ballsy, autobiographical one-woman show with humor while managing to rip at the heartstrings of her audience. Fisher’s story is of a good Southern Jewish girl with big rock ’n’ roll dreams. There are 14 show-stopping numbers co-written with renowned hit-makers Kenny Hirsch and Harold Payne.
