Poem: Dwelling Place

A poem by Emily Warn.

Summer beetles augured blue ponds in every leaf

of the cherry tree.

Cooler that way. The load lighter.

Open wells for the sun to fall through.

                    Pennywhistles for wind.

Burn marks from God’s magnifying glass.

Is that what seeking is?

Asking to be prospected.
