Maybe it’s time for the government to cut its long string of provocations (from religious legislation to the legal reform) and move to dealing with security, cost of living, transportation, crime – the boring stuff for which a government is usually elected. 

It could have been a night to remember. It could have been a nightmare. It would have been both. 

How can such experienced leader, such cautious leader, err in such a way?

Unless he is completely disconnected from reality, Bibi surely understands that the problem he and his partners created cannot be solved by anyone but themselves.

A million adult Jewish Israelis are considering leaving. And the higher their income, the more likely they are to consider leaving.

Tuesday was a day of reckoning and debate: what should the coalition do next – and what should the opposition do next.

Is it possible that the coalition prefers a flawed reform that enrages the opposition over a moderate reform that the majority supports? 

A new government thought there was a good reason to make a dramatic move. The new government thought it had the power to go through with it. The new government thought that the benefit would exceed the cost. Was the government wrong?

The opposition is rational not to fully believe in the idea of a comeback: Israel’s demography would not allow it.
