Poetry Slam 2 with Hope Anita Smith – Rise Up & Perform Your Poem!

Join award-winning author Hope Anita Smith for a poetry jam where every young poet has a voice. We are looking for 16 poets, divided in two groups, ages 7-10 and ages 11 – 14. Each poet will get 3 minutes to recite or rap a poem or lyric they’ve written. The theme of this poetry slam is citizenship, standing up for your rights, & what it means to be an American. Ms. Smith will select one poet from each age group, judged on poem content and performance, to receive a $25 gift certificate.
