Lillian Faderman will discuss the new book on Harvey Milk that she has written for the Yale Jewish Lives series, in which she explores the many different lives in the journey to Milk’s place as a transformative progressive politician and gay icon. She connects Milk’s activism to his family history and the ideals of his Jewish identity in this book that is an essential, concise up-to-date account of a man whose accomplishments and assassination both challenged and change the nation.
