Everyday Jewish Family Life in Tsarist Russia

Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley & Ventura County (JGSCV) 13th anniversary will be honored with a program featuring Prof. ChaeRan Freeze, Professor of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, Brandeis University. he will examine everyday Jewish life in tsarist Russia with archival documents and reveal daily struggles on family life, religion and health–will show new genealogical resources beyond vital records and census materials and highlight the rich diversity of the Jewish experience in Russian empire. 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
